Testimonials
Dear Bob,
Because I can,
I have tried all of the courses
and yours is the best
because above all
you are a very, very, good teacher. You convey the material in a logical flowing manner from a to b to c.
The other courses overwhelm you with theory without showing why it is important.
The new videos will only make it better and as I said, it is the best available by far.
Congratulations,
Dr Peter Allegra

Fingering Two Arpeggios »
Category: Arpeggios
This video demonstrates a few key arpeggios for fingering one of the major scale.
When first learning scales and arpeggios on the guitar it’s a good idea to stick to the one finger per fret rule. Most things on the guitar fall comfortably under a 4 fret span and fingering one is no exception. Practicing this way ensures that you develop strength and independence for each finger of your left hand. This will only make you a better player.
This will sometimes require the same finger to play 2 consecutive notes that fall in the same fret on different strings. To do this you have to use the rolling technique. For a demo of the rolling technique watch this video.
The following diagrams show the fingerings for each arpeggio in the video. This time the numbers inside the circles represent which finger to use (1, 2, 3 or 4). In case you don’t know the index finger is 1, middle is 2, ring is 3 and pinky is 4.
